About LAICI

The Los Angeles International Conducting Institute (LAICI) at Caltech is a specially designed program for established, advanced and emerging conductors seeking to refine their craft and deepen their artistry.

Participants receive individualized attention through daily small-group conducting sessions, complemented by chamber and large ensemble experiences.

Presentations and coachings by our conducting faculty are enriched by special-topic sessions featuring an exceptional panel of performers and composers from the Los Angeles Philharmonic, LA Chamber Orchestra, Hollywood studio orchestras, and leading conservatories. Together, they offer valuable insights into the art of conducting, musical interpretation, and leadership. Participants may also have the opportunity to receive individual lessons.
